Hi all. New here, but not new to MOPAR or cars. Starting working as a mechanic when I was 15 in the 80's. Work on cars until about the mid 90s then just tinkered. Now retired and have had a few Challenger Widebody Hellcats and other modern Challengers. Just down to my Tacoma now, but have always been a car guy. Always wanted the classic with the modern so I'm about to head into that journey.
Moments away from buying a 1967 Dodge Dart GT Convertible. I'll start a new thread with all the questions and build log. I plan on buying a cheap 2015 or up Challenger and swap everything over, if it's cost effective. I really want to integrate as much as possible including parking sensors and such. I know very little about modern cars and the way they integrate with electronics, but I do have a lot of electrical engineering knowledge and built lots of stuff professionally over the years. Also have my own CNC machine shop, so the Infotainment system is not going to be shoved in the dash, but I'll design and build a custom dash with 3D contours and the like. Try to marry new with the old.
Anyway glad to be here. Hopefully I'll have some cool stuff to build.
