Hi! I’m new here, in Portland Oregon, purchased my Valiant on Halloween, 2024. Looking to learn how to repair & upgrade my car, learn tips and tricks, advice to help avoid mistakes & goose chases while repairing, restoring & upgrading my “Toad” car. I’ve rebuilt the B & B single barrel carburetor, replaced plugs & plug wires, still seems to run a bit rich. Compression is all 115-120psig. Found intake manifold bolts between the carburetor and head rotted off and so took the intake manifold off twisted the other two bolts to the exhaust manifold off, now trying to remove exhaust manifold to exhaust upper pipe bolts.
