No, magnum roller lifters apparently take quite a bit of preload compared to other hydraulic lifters. They weren’t even close to plunging the lifter all the way

Could also go with a Mr Gasket .028 head gasket. I am running those on my LA360 and 5.9. No issues and a little more squeeze.

I run that head gasket with no issues.

Is .080 too much ? Seems like alot.

I feel like the .080 preload is already in the stock 6.900 length, I just added to that stock length from what my pushrod checker had measured to. Got .055 longer than the stock Push rods. A total of 6.955. Summit has push rods with the lengths of 6.950. Worked perfectly for me.
