I'lll be working on a Demon project soon and am trying to figure out what kind of heart this Demon's gonna have. It's gonna be mainly a street car but I want all the race goodies without going overboard.

I've got a Mopar Performance 440 six pack engine on my 'Cuda with maybe 3000 miles on it since installed from the crate and to be honest I'm not too happy with it. On my last trip from Madrid to Barcelona (500 miles probably) the engine consumed a quart (actually Liter here) of oil. When I got back to Madrid it was a quart low.

I still don't know why it's burning but I've been told that blue smoke comes out of the driver's side when I step on it (close to 5000 RPMs).

I'm assuming these engines are mass produced and not too much attention to detail goes into 'em but I will not be putting in a MP crate on my Demon.

I'm thinking of putting in a small block such as this one from Diamond Back Engines.

Or maybe one of these from blueprint:

Any suggestions and has anyone had any dealings with any of these companies. As I understand a Big Block would be more complicated to put in and would take up a lot more room in a tight bay.

Thanks
