Does anyone know of a good aftermarket shifter that can be used in an A-body that originally came with a floor-shift (71 340 Duster), that can be installed WITHOUT cutting out the original brackets?? Bought a Turbo-action Cheetah SCS, without realizing the stock shifter bracket would have to be butchered. Can't bring myself to cut it out. Thanks. Has a Turbo-Action reverse pattern manual valve body.

I doubt any can be installed without removing the factory brackets. There's simply not enough room. I just installed a Quick Silver shifter in mine and of course had to cut out the brackets.
