it was doing this before i replaced the coil in the distributor. i replaced the distributor that morning. the old one would idle down really slow due to sticking weights. put this one in it ran great then hard to start then no start. good thing i dont have alot of hair or i would have pulled it all out.
 
time to go out n the 25degree air this morning im actually losing sleep over this i miss my car.
 
replaced the distributor and it fired right up. a huge thank you to all who helped atleast i know the rest of the system is in great shape. this is a great site with great people and i hope i can return the favor some day.
