Here is a New Old Stock set of L2329F Forged Pistons.
These have been in my shop for about
20 years.
These are exactly what I run in many 318 Stock Eliminator
engines that I build. They have and still do win many Class
Wins and have held the National Records.
These were made in USA before Speed Pro/TRW went to India to build
their pistons. The manufacturing tolerances and forging became
unacceptable to me when we tested them. I have seen people run
these US Made pistons as close as .001 to .002 clearance near end of skirt.
I do not try that on their newer stuff.
These feature full floating pins rather than the pressed pin that I
have seen in much of their newer stuff.
They also feature a pretty decent valve notch unlike many newer replacement
pistons that are flat tops.
