"Camelia" and I go for a walk on leash twice a day. Every day we pass by a neighbor's two trash cans out by the street where they are always parked (plastic 55 gallon drums with no lids). Today Camelia pulled on the leash slightly but firmly to lead me over to the barrels. She stood alongside one of them with her nose up in the air. A couple of seconds later, out jumped a cat and it ran away. Cameila tried to take off after it, but my firm grip on the leash prevented the chase.
I gave the command "heel" and tried to continue on our walk. However, Camelia stood firm alongside the same trash barrel and raised her nose high up into the air a second time. Before I could say anything more, a second cat jumped out of the barrel and ran away. Then and only then would Camelia agree to continue on our usual route.
