Hi I have a 74 360 la motor I put a aftermarket oil pressure gauge under the dash I ran the copper oil line thru the firewall and where I ran the oil line was next to the distributor on the back of the motor is this the correct spot thanks

Much better to have copper than plastic hose.
I have put several of those in, never had an issue with Cooper but have had with plastic more than once

Copper will Crack off from Vibration. Its not if it will but when. Even solid mounted engines the copper cracks at the fitting. Plastic is more flexible but more susceptible to pinching Damage.

I ran the braided lines with the wires for all the gauges together . They were run that way for over 8 yrs with no issues. Ran everything as a harness through the cigarette lighter hole and just notched the ashtray. This way I didn't put any holes in the factory dash. Not even a screw hole anywhere.

The braided line is the only way to run the oil line today. otherwise you are flirting with disaster.

Pardon my dumb question, but where's a good source for a braided line for the oil gauge? I've never seen one.

I have always used copper with a service loop between the sender and firewall, keeps the vibration down but yes braided is the best. IE the link posted from summet
