The cam I ordered from Mike Jones is on hold due to a lack of the specific core for the job. So I ordered a Howard's cam from Competition Products just to be sure I'll have one when I'm ready for it.

It's likely my car won't be done before the engine but I want to run the engine in on the my yet to be completed engine run in stand then get it to a Dyno just to see what I'm working with.

The cam I ordered from Howard's is their 712712-08 solid flat tappet cam from their catalog. It's one made for 903 lifters.

I was told 10-14 days to get her done.

Two weeks right now is fast...I waited 9 weeks for my pistons. Now that the machinist has my pistons I'm waiting in line for the machine work.

Even Summit sez it will ship 5/4... that's about two weeks.

Nothing wrong with Crower stuff...this engine had all Crower valve train parts when new. Howard's is 40 miles away from home... I'd like to get aquainted with those guys... you never know when they can help a guy out. Last year they Cam Doctored a cam for me while I waited... can't beat that.

you could ask shane if he has a cor
or i could ask Ed
Both good choices... I kinda pulled the trigger already. I like this cam... maybe I'll do a shootout on the dyno between the Howards and Jones if I get the chance. $500.00 for 8 hours of dyno time. Should be able to do an A/B test...

I PM's Shane about lifters... need an extra set.
