phone app to measure walking/running distance

do you know a ph app to measure this? I had heard of one months ago then I read that it was found to be inaccurate. thank you for your time. RR

On IPhone, in the health app there is a pedometer that counts steps as long as your phone is in your pocket..

My wife uses a Garmin Venu. It seems to be very inconsistent on distance in my opinion but she loves it.

My Apple iPhone is on the money as a pedometer. I checked it again two other stand alone pedometers the wife and I had. Neither the iPhone nor the other pedometers varied more than a step or two.

I will google it. I'm pretty behind on this technology. thanks guys. RR iirc it was strava that someone said was not accurate so if I see it & thats the correct name/spelling I will avoid it. my ph is an android/nokia I believe
