have set of never used 340 pistons that came with recent purchase, 3671154, with pins and 4 valve pockets,,and F on lower skirt any help,here's pic's

Could be 72-73 low compression pistons. Can you measure the compression height? the high compression ones are 1.84".

Looks like a 72-73 low comp 340 piston for sure!

With today's fuel those pistons will be a good setup with a proper CC chamber and head gasket thickness.

been trying to find what piston i have for days, after looking again i found 3671154 on one side and 3671155 on the other inside piston, penstar and 227-1, best article i seen has these # as possible crossover numbers?

I went out to the shop and looked at a set of low compression 340 pistons in 4.040 bore, and they DO have that number (3671154) on them and the valve notches look the same. So they are 72-73 low compession 340 pistons
