Have one out of a 72 duster, would rebuild the box before installing it personally. I removed it because it had some slop, and wanted manual steering

how hard are they to rebuild. I have manual and want power. what else would I need to make it work in a manual steering car.

pump brackets vary between engine size - what engine do you have?? I think you have a 340 by your avatar so you need V-8 mounting brackets for the pump

I have 71 Dart with 225 slant 6 column, box and pump still attaches.
would take your manual box as partial trade

Send the box to Steer and gear or a similar operation for full disassembly and rebuild. You can tighten the mesh to a degree, but once they are worn out best long term solution is to have them rebuilt.

I was going to keep the power box in this 72 until I did the pump it down mod to lower the pressure and then I could really feel the slop at the lower pressure.

This is a power box from a 74 Dodge Dart. with pitman arm. Clean good condition. Also have V-8 center link, and idler arm for the 73 - 76 style front end.

if you are keeping the car original, you need to stay between 1968-72 equipment or you need to change the suspension that mounts to it - pitman arm, idler arm and center link
