Has anyone needed to change their power valves on the 4160 from a 65 to anything else? I'm trying to go through everything on the carb to make sure it is tuned right for my engine.

Also where is the power valve?

The power valve (Holley calls it an "economizer valve") screws into the front metering block/plate. OK maybe now the correct terminology is a "power enrichment system".

You should find out what your vacume is in drive at idel, then select your power valve. If in gear your reading is say 10, 6.5 is fine if it was 7 than 6.5 would be open than causing an over rich mixture. You likly know this but a reminder is always helpfull.

Here's a picture of a power valve that may help. It takes a 1" wrench to r&r. Like 67fish said it screws into the back side of the front metering plate and snake is correct in his description of how to select the right one.

The rule of thumb is to measure your vacuum at idle with the car in gear. Divide that by 2, and that's what size power valve you should have. So if you have 13 hg of vacuum, then a 65 or 6.5 PV would be right. If you have 10 hg of vacuum, you'll probably still be ok with a 6.5.
