My friend Mark and I have been helping a lifelong friend of his with his 86 GMC Jimmy for about 2.5 years. It was horribly rusty. In fact, I almost told Mark I was not interested in helping, but I do love a challenge. We wound up having to fabricate a lot of of the parts ourselves.

He bought it new, and had an attachment to it. All of the rust work is done, and our final job is putting the bed in. After that, we put on the fenders and the hood and paint it.

Good Lord have mercy! There must have been a huge tin worm nest right under where he parked that thing every day. A lot of effort has been put into saving it, and you have done a good job. You've got it going your way now and can mop some color on it before long.

You must really like that truck or it has sentimental value.
Agreed. The truck isn't mine. It belongs to a guy named Greg who is a Friend of my good friend Mark. Greg bought the truck new, and has had a lot of memories attached to it. I had met Greg through my friend Mark before. Mark and Greg had been friends since 3rd grade. Mark asked me to look at the truck with him, because he wanted (needed) my help. I almost said no, but I do like a challenge.
