Proportioning Valve location?

In converting my 74 Duster to 4-wheel discs, I need to install an adjustable proportioning valve. The issue I am facing is the best location for the valve. With power brakes, power steering and shorty headers, there's not going to be a lot of room for locating them near the distribution block - and the lip on the back portion of the frame rail hits the adjustment knob on the valve. Has anyone found a reasonable spot to locate the PV that works relatively well? Or better yet, does anyone know of a distribution block that will fit that has a built-in adjustable PV? I hate the thought of cutting into my brand-new steel brake line.

well it doesn't need to be under the hood...
does you brake pipe for the rear come through the firewall? In which case it could go under the dash.
I've seen them on the chassis rail

The rear brake line runs along the rail, under the floor pan. Mounting it there is an option, but I would need to keep it away from the right side exhaust pipe, which hasn't been installed yet.

yeah keeping it all cool makes sense.....
depends how often you will need to access it

it just needs to be in the rear pipe

standard fitment on some trucks has a pendulum/weighted thing that adjusts bias based on the G forces felt as you brake...

id suggest some experimentation beyond the scope of you and I went into that by the OEM

but they are often fitted mid chassis

my own car has an none adjustable one in a little bracket next to the master cylinder i.e up high out of the way between master cylinder and the top of the inner fender
2 pieces of pipe and a minor re route of the original rear pipe was all it took, because the bias is literally a 2 inch long cylinder with a hole in each end.. they hid them under the dash on later cars as the rear pipe came through bulkhead and down to the floor and out to the chassis rail via a grommet

if yours is all external you might have some wiggle room

Just an update on this, I found a good spot for the PV along the driver side rail where the brake line runs. It's protected by the rear seat inset of the tub and didn't require any line bending.
