Hey gang,
I fired up the Duster after installing the PS and I have no power assist. My pump is from an 81 Lebaron that was working fine when removed. The box is the unknown element. There are no leaks. Fluid is moving somewhere, as I filled the pump reservoir twice while it was running. No weird noises. The pump and hoses are a little warm though.
Any suggestions re: troubleshooting ? I was going to disconnect the return line and see if I am getting fluid through the box.
This was a bit of a setback. But I gotta tell ya.......that engine sounds sweeeeeetttt ! Its a 360 bored out 60 thousandths. High compression - big cam.
Brug........ba-Brug Brug ba brug....brug brug brug.....
The car has all new bushings and suspension and the thing shakes and shimmies.......I think I need to be alone now
Anyway - any hints on how to diagnose the steering issue would be appreciated !
Thanks
Trevor
