I have a jegs electric fuel pump and have it mounted on a nice rubber block, but it's still very loud. I am going to buy a new pump, as my wife says this pump is to loud, and after spending all the time and money on this car skimping on the pump would be a shame. Has anyone here had any luck with external electric fuel pumps that are quiet? My exhaust is still very loud, 2.5 pipe headers and magnaflow mufflers, but you can still here the buzz of the pump over the exhaust. I have a aftermarket 16 gallon tank in the trunk not the original gas tank. Thank You in advance.

says 2- 3.5 fuel pressure. I have a 680 ss quick fuel carb, will that be enough pressure? And if it is how quiet are these pumps? You live in Lakewood Co. Did you make it to the Goodguys car show here in Loveland, Budweiser Event Center?

I have a Holley Blue Pump and I have it mounted on rubber mounts as well and it is noisey but I have gotten used to it. With the rumble of my engine and the tunes coming out from my stereo I hardly hear it...

i have a summit billet pump,it's basically a holley black.its mounted with rubber.it has 1/2'' aluminum tubing under the car to steel braided -8 hose .that thing echos thru the car,its really bad when idleing.i slit a piece of heater hose and put it over the tubing and over half the noise is gone. thank god.apparently it resonates in the line also...my fuel pressure is 6 psi when im at full throttle btw off a sumped tank....

Mr Gasket 42S.

And hey, it's on sale from the same place you bought yours.

At 42 GPH I wouldn't rely on it to feed much. I have a similar pump I use soley for fluid transfer & pumping bad gas out of customer's cars.

It's definitely quiet as a cat pissing on cotton, but I don't think it could keep up with the demand for a V8.

I took one of those out of the scamp. It has a very Low noise vibration that travels thats for sure, Kinda like 4-10" Woofers with 1000 Watts of Bridged mono power going to them.....Feel it 4 blocks away....... LOL,, I put in a Walbro GSL-392 cost $95.00. It is for sure quieter. It has more of a High pitch noise to it but it does not resonate through the car at all. Definitely quieter. I think I am going to use that other pump for my dedicated NOS Fuel System.
