Was just modifying my fuel gauge IVR when I noticed that the indicator arm seems to be pointing up higher than I would think it should, and since the one I am replacing doesnt have an arm, I have nothing to compare it to. Is this normal for the indicator to be angled like this, or do I have the nerve-wracking job of having to bend it down? :(

Most times when removing the cluster face it gets hooked and tweaked a bit. It will all be okay. Slight bend down - nobody will notice it. Hopefully the paint on the needle does not break. Try heating up with a hair dryer first to make the paint a bit more flexible if that bothers you.

Try not to crimp the needle when you bend it down because it's ruined
