Rally Dash Fuel Gauge Pointer Question

Was just modifying my fuel gauge IVR when I noticed that the indicator arm seems to be pointing up higher than I would think it should, and since the one I am replacing doesnt have an arm, I have nothing to compare it to. Is this normal for the indicator to be angled like this, or do I have the nerve-wracking job of having to bend it down?

Just bend it back down gently. It'l be ok. Don't let it touch the face of the gage.

Most times when removing the cluster face it gets hooked and tweaked a bit. It will all be okay. Slight bend down - nobody will notice it. Hopefully the paint on the needle does not break. Try heating up with a hair dryer first to make the paint a bit more flexible if that bothers you.

Try not to crimp the needle when you bend it down because it's ruined
