rally wheel questions

so love the look of rallies
bought small lug 15s for my 69
so bought a 66 for a flip and to have the jerk learn on
found a set of 14s rallies kind of beat up ,but figure will do but missing a couple of caps ...and painted...yuk
then some popped up local on fb bought these last night
are all small bolt rallies the same ? or are there different withs
i knew there were 2 different caps ...but 3 i bought a set of new like the blue ones but sliver ...like the gray better
i really like the new ones if they clean-up or ill buy new
and the guy gave me two different trim ring ..long and short ...idea is put together a "nice set" and a good set for the 66
what years did they use what ones

All original sbp ralleyes are 5 1/2 inches wide, but all the ralleye repops are 6 inches wide and then up by special order, so depends on where yours came from.

they are all oldies ......last guy said he bought them 30 years ago ...then found out they didn't fit his road runner...
what is with the differnent trim rings....what years were the rallies offered...my 69 had them on it in 82 ...i see them on all a bodys
and i think the caps showen ...my fav style were 72 ? never would have known they had 2 styles of them
were they offered in differnet shades ...on the older ones

just so you know (and i personally don't care) rallies were not offered until '70. i prefer the blue sombrero style you have. you can probably polish all the paint off. the acorn style are the newer ones.

Oh i have a set of new sombrero that I bought for my 15s....they are silver...they offered Grey...think they would be better more contrast...
My old dart had the other style...loved that look
So 69 would have only been with caps ?

sbp center caps came in light textured argent in 1970 ,and in dark textured argent in 1971. I always preferred the dark argent, so if it is not a numbers restoration that would be my suggestion. spray cans of both light and dark are available for redoing your blue caps (after you get the blue off the exposed chrome parts) the little spun aluminum appliques in the center are available for the 70-71 centers but not 72 and up style.

Yes i bought new light argent for my but not enough contrast..so might buy dark..for the 69 ...or just spray them
I don't have enough blue caps
But the wheels I got yesterday had 2 sets of caps...so now I have enough for 3 sets of wheels

I do like those a lot .
Now i can try witch ones I like best
