I am trying to decide between 4.11s and 3.91s Not worried about driving the car on the highway, just looking for the best ETs. Heres my combination:

65 Dart 2900 lbs
440 with KB 10.1 pistons, Mopar .509 / .248@50 cam, FBO ignition, holley 800 DP, 2800 hughes stall/ 26" tall Mickey Thompson drag/street radial. Ford 8.8" posi rearend, currently running 3.55s give me your suggestions.

4.11s w/ 28" tires. works in my buddy's 440 - 65 just right.
I'm saying 4.11s cause you will burn those 26" tires up in no time no matter what gear you have.

The ratios are so close to the same that it really wouldn't matter. I would just buy the one that happens to be most inexpensive when you go looking.

We have 3.91's in my boys Dart. Its a stock stroke 400 and he uses 26 x 9.5 Hoosier QTP tires. They hook good and he shifts at 6200 and traps about 6400. You longer stroke 440 may like the 3.91's better. Ron

383man is right on. Unless you plan on really winding that beast up go with the 3:91's. If you had 28" tires I would say the 4:11's.
