So here are some pictures.
July 12th 2019 I took some pictures of my f250 to put on Craigslist. On August 14th I went to look at a Barracuda some guy wanted to trade me for. (Which I did). Less than 2 weeks later my 15 year old son came upstairs early in the morning, and asked me to take him to the Dr. Office, it was a Sunday. We ended up going to emergency he had a sore leg, that unknown to me or his mom had been sore for a couple months, but this day he was having trouble walking. After some blood work and imaging, we discovered he had Ewing's Sarcoma, a childhood cancer. Life was put on hold... Going back through pictures today. Lots of pictures at Vancouver Children's Hospital. 7 months of chemotherapy. Sugery at Christmas time, spent Christmas in children's with him, very ill from the chemo and surgery, continued on with chemo till April then radiation in May. Got all his imaging back after all his treatments, chemotherapy, surgery, and radiation... No detectable cancer!!!
Today at 7:30 I picked him up from his first job ever, making pizzas at a local pizza shop. He limped out to the car after a 4 hour shift. Standing on his good leg for most of it. He said his leg is sore from standing, well I guess so kid! One proud dad for sure!
For a bodies only has been a great distraction for me personally through this. My kid likes turbo cars and 4 doors. I like my barracuda.
Thanks everyone at FABO.

I`D HAVE TRADES TOO , SAID A PRAYER FOR UR KID !

I kind of forgot all about the vehicle part of your story until I got down to the pics! If a person has never had to deal with cancer, it's hard to imagine how relieved you are to hear 2 words like "Non detectable". I am very happy for your family that your son beat it! He must be a tough little rascal to go to work so soon afterwards. I said a prayer of thanks for him getting better, and also for his future good health.

:canada::usflag: :thumbsup:

That's pretty cool
I know how he feels. I did chemo and radiation. I got so sore I needed help dressing. Good luck.

As for the Cuda, you stole that.

Best of everything too you. That old Ford was in nice shape. We were both happy with the trade. He wanted something that was drivable that he could work on. He just wasn't into tearing a car down to its bare shell. Which is what the barracuda needed. But yes I feel like I came out on top of the the trade. Now if I could only trade my Kia for a 1970 six pack Charger.
Any takers???
