I have a 3/8" drive socket set and am looking to replace my spark plug socket. The size is 5/8" or 16mm. I use it on the NGK ZFR-5N plugs for my 1974 slant six. I need the special socket that is adapted to hold the plug firmly in position inside the socket so the insulator doesn't crack during installation. Any recommendations? Thanks.

Cruiser, the Slant is so easy to get Plugs in and out of, any Plug Socket would work. I just have a Husky Plug Socket and it works great.

I have a snap-on and a Mac spark plug socket with constant velocity u-joint built in. What a nice tool to have.

And they don't have rubber inside they have a mechanism that clicks and grabs the plug tip. It is not stiff like rubber and works like a charm.

Spend some money on some GOOD tools in your box.
