My 70 Dart had a rim blow wheel, it is non functional. The former owner installed a horn button on the dash to pass safety check. I want to replace the wheel with a standard horn button type, maybe an aftermarket one. Can it be done without too much drama?

I put a Grant GT in my dart when I sold the Rim Blow. I bought the correct adapter to mount it directly to the column (sold the adapter too) and it wasnt bad at all. It also gave me more room too by moving the wheel farther away- much more comfortable. You will have to bend the turn signal lever though or you'll hit it every time you turn!

Before you replace the steering wheel you should check to see if the horn wire is at the steering wheel and working. You mentioned you have a button on the dash which means the wire is there but may not now be all the way to the steering wheel.

Great advice guys, I knew it could be done. Wouldn't have thought about the turn signal hitting though. Thanks again.
