rocker arm shaft q?

do the holes on the rocker arm shaft point up or down. i have roller rocker if that matters. aslo it a 440

I haven't done a big block but I assume they're the same as a small block. The holes point down and offset to the valve side. Doesn't matter if they're stock or aftermarket either. The highest load is on the lower part of the valve spring side.

that's what he means. the oil holes are down and to the valve side.
