Rpm Air Gap Fit With Holley Street Avenger

I have a quick question? Will i be able to shut my stock hood with a Rpm Air Gap and Holley Street Avenger on top of a 360. I'm considering buying this manifold but I want to check with the fittment first

I don't think you will have a problem, but rumblefish might be able to shed more light.

Hi,
I have a RPM airgap with 3310 Holley/360 in 66 Barracuda. It fits but I had to use a Moroso drop-plate air cleaner or it would hit the hood.

like bbeep71 said you'll need a drop base air cleaner.

with the 3310/1850 style carb and the short air cleaner element and a solid top you will have air flow restriction that will lead to a lean condition when the secondaries crack on.

if you're running a carb that doesn't have a choke tower you'll be fine, otherwise i'd suggest switching to a K&N open element top.

also, you'll only be able to fit a 2" filter element.

I have the Professional Products air gap, which is a knock off of Eddies' air gap, a Street Avenger 670 and a 3" element and I need a drop base, I just hit with the hood closed and I have a 440-6 pak scoop. I'll try to get a pic for ya
