Talked to a racer that lives 5 miles from that track. It closed a year ago and the rumor was that a developer had bought it and was going to turn it into a subdivision. Apparently the powers that be are trying to find someone to open it up as a drag strip again now that Houston (Royal Purple) has closed down. Nothing has been removed. I'm sure it will need some fix up if it re opens. I hope someone can make this happen, San Antonio area racers are having to drive quite a ways to go racing.

Real estate is going for stupid $ in that area, I live in the next county over. They actually went up on the rent for the last guys who were running it. I would love to see it reopen.

Some scumbag developers will toss up some crappy townhouses built by "si senior" you would be surprised at the Beautiful Woods and Natural spots they toss up **** tract homes on here. And we only really have 1 track left here. All the old ones are gone in my neck..

you live in Tampa Bay Area your profile says.
You have Bradenton, Gainesville, and Orlando speedworld.
That’s 3 good tracks. Immokolee isn’t all that far, and I think there are a couple little ones, and one being built as we speak north of you.
You have plenty of opportunities.

And we lost Lakeland, Plant City, both right up the street. Zephyrhills, Tampa Drag, Lake Wales were around back in the day. Sunshine is where I ran my scoot. That's Bradenton. What I'm trying to say is it simply isn't like it used to be. You Cannot deny that
