SHIFT LIGHT WIRING

Ok i bought a dash mount tach for my barracuda. I would like a shift light but the type of tach i have you cant wire a shift light to it. Anyone have a shift with a non shift light tach. I have a MSD ignition box & thats what i have the tach hooked to.

Get an adjustable 2 step box to wire in light circuit with the tach.

I have the MSD E-Curve distributor which has all electronics onboard, no external module. There is a green wire for the tach signal which I am wiring to the upgraded tachometer with new guts that eliminates the external tach module. I called MSD tech support last week for information on their tach signal specs and loading. It will drive up to 3 devices. So the nature of my inquiry was to add a shift light spare wire for future use. I have added this wire by splicing into the under-dash tach wire in the new harness I have made.

You can call MSD tech support to verify the ignition box you have will drive 2 devices. If so, just add it to the same wire.
