i have 68 barracuda with a 833 4 speed (72 vintage) with 360/380 hp crate engine.it seems under hard acceleration i can not shift into second gear.the clutch pedal works fine no mis aligment.when the rpm comes down it goes into gear very easy.so casual driving is fine but taking rpm to maybe 3000 it will not go into gear. help!!!!!!

Sounds like it's time for a rebuild.
My Road runner had the same problem.
They replaced the syncros and forks, and a bunch of other worn out stuff. ***** great now.
It's no fun going up an on ramp with your foot way into it, pull second and watch the tach go WAY over where it should be.

Terry,

The common problem is worn synchros, keys, and springs, or possibly a worn fork.

We can help you with parts and/or information. Feel free to give us a ring 207-342-2704.
