69 dart needs new fender and quarter side marker lenses.Mine had none how do they go on are they stick on.I have everything else but no lenses.thanks.

The lenses are held on to the outer housing with two screws that come in from the back of the housing and screw in to the lense.

Hey I did not know ether. I had to walk out to my car and look. LOL

Is that the car your working on in your avtar? If so. Nice car!

Just out of curiosity, are the side markers on the 69 Dart actual lights or reflectors? On my 69 Charger I had they were just reflectors.

69 Dart front & rear side marker lenses are simply reflectors.

The metal rear bezel mounts to the car with J clips and screws, and the front bezels are retained to the fender by a metal cage from behind secured with 2 nuts, similar to a dash gauge.

Once the bezels are installed, the reflectors simply snap into place. There are clips molded into the back of the reflector that slip into slots cut into the bezel.

Be aware, however, that all the repro REAR reflectors I have seen do not fit the housing (the reflector is about 3/16" too wide), nor do the clips line up with the holes in the bezels. The fronts work correctly. I ended up using my original rear pieces, and the repro front pieces on my car.

Hope this helps.

yeah they just snap in. no screws. i havent found anyone that sells the correct rear lense either. i called dantes, which i bought htem from and he tried to tell me he has never heard of that, althouhg he did say most peopel buy them for b bodies no abodies and he thought maybe the a bodies were different. anyone know? the ones i was sold have the same numbers and are the same exact part as the fronts, only a different color. if he wasnt b.s.ing me about never hearing of the problem, everyone needs to speak up, maybe after enough complaints some one will make the right stuff for us. i guess as lons as peopel are buying them, they dont care.

man looking like i may want to get good used ones any one got a set they would part with.thanks for all the help.

I had the same problem on mine as well. I don't remember who I got them from but I called and questioned it, and the customer sevice guy said it had to do with a mid year change in the housing or some garbage like that. I ended up grinding a little off both ends and ground off the plastic clips and used some thin double stick tape. It is one of those things that I see every time I look at the car, but if I don't say anything no one else notices.

Guys,

I think the B body ones are slightly larger. I have a whole bunch of side markers I picked up in Junk Yards years ago. I remember not long ago trying a couple of the rears, and they did not fit. My original A body ones were trashed, and I dont know if I even have them anymore to compare. Would be nice if someone had them to put side by side.
