Just a note to those members who have helped. My little old lady dart is starting to take shape. Nothing special. 318 from a 1985 replaced the slant 6 and I got lucky. It's got a roller cam, I've got an aluminum intake, 550 Edlebrock, 8 1/4 rear(couldn't afford 83/4/...yet), 904 tranny, hedman headers, disk brake conversion in front. My next project is to get an exhaust from the headers back.

Any idea where to start. Can I get the stock pipes from the local parts store? Are there any after market sytems you can recommend? Can I make them myself?

I got the disk brake set up from the bone yard complete with master cylinder, prop. valve etc.. I need to get ball joints and upper control arm bushings but I don't know what year car it came from (Duster). Are these items the same for A bodies from 1973 to 1976?

Any help would be grealty appreciated.

Welcome aboard. What year is your Dart? The front suspension parts from 73 - 76 should fit correctly. It's the upper ball joints that will probably be different, depending on the year of your Dart. Give us some more info and we'll try to get you fixed up.

71 Dart, 2dr. I got lucky but thanks for the response. Went to the local parts store and a Mopar guy knew exactly what I needed. The jobs half finnished and so far everything fits.

I had a custom exhaust bent and welded in my car. I just gave the guy the mufflers I wanted to use, and that was it. He did the rest. Cost me $220 for aluminized steel, 2.5" diameter (plus $140 for 2 Edelbrock stainless mufflers from Summit)
