slant 6 bell,,interchange

Will a 66 bell work on a 70 slant 6 ?

They are different casting number. In '66 they had a different bellhousing for 3 speeds and 4 speeds. The '67 - '74 belllhousing takes both 3 and 4 speed transmissions. here is a link so you can see.

check bearing retainer size. I would imagine if thr BR size was crorrect, then it would fit.
