for you guys that have done a small block turbo with magnum manifolds, can you post pics of your hot side piping please. as well as pipe size info. also. easiest way to feed oil to the turbo. any tricks you wish you knew before you started?

thanks

Easiest way to feed oil to the turbo is probably a T fitting on the oil pressure sender port. I have flipped short tube headers but I ran 2.5” piping and that’s overkill for my combo. A few guys have run 2” with no problems.

I do wish I would have run my turbo on the drivers side of the engine bay, with a battery relocation and no power steering pump there’s tons of room over there.

awesome. thanks for the post. thank you for also being the guy who sorted out the issues. ill ready every post. appreciated!!

I prefer the block hugger header on the passenger side. Easier to route.

I know most won’t agree with me but I’d say bite the bullet and build a set of headers. Every time I’ve replaced manifolds with headers I’ve been happier with the way the engine runs. We did some testing a long time ago on back pressure in the system with headers vs manifolds and the backpressure drops a bunch (with no other changes) and a corresponding jump in hp followed at the same boost level. That’s what I wish I knew in the beginning.
