How many teeth are on the drive gear for a 727? Im trying to find a speedo gear for the dart but all the calculators im finding you need to know the drive gear teeth.

I think all you need to know is if it's the 65 & earlier style (hard to find a speedo gear for) or the 66 through 79(?) easy to find style speedometer drive/transmission. This info along with the tire diameter & rear axle ratio should be all that's necessary to get the right gear.

Look on Ebay under Mopar speedometer gear, you will find peep's selling gears and some will have a conversion table.

There is no drive gear per say. The output shaft has the teeth cut on it to drive the speedo gear. Here's a speedo gear chart. Sorry about all the dashes and periods. That's the only way I could get it to post anywhere close to right. If you have trouble making it out ask me and I'll help.
