BACKSTORY

I have a Grant "Tuff-Look-A-Like-But-Don't-Feel-Alike" on my 72 Swinger and I am looking to put a rim blow wheel on it very soon. I bought one from DARTGAME and am having plumbeeper get it back into full working order.

QUESTION

What type (if any) adapter would I need to make the switch?

If you're using a Grant adapter and a factory horn button, I dont think they will work together. Grants horn switch is a bigger diameter than the factory buttons reciever. But with it being a rim blow, you dont need their horn switch! Duh!

you need the same factory adapter as the Tuff wheel uses to run the rim blow wheel

I'm using a grant wheel with a factory tuff wheel adapter. A rim blow horn cap bolts to the wheel with the same bolt holes of any tuff wheel so a grant tuff wheel adapter will work to get the wheel on the column. He doesn't have to worry about the funky grant horn switch since he's using a rim blow.

Here's a pic of what is currently on there. It's made by Grant. The first pic I posted is of the wheel that I would like to put on my Dart in its place. It is made by Mopar and is a real Rim Blow. DO I NEED AN ADAPTER TO INSTALL THIS WHEEL..?

By looking at the wheel you have, you already have the adapter installed on your column. The adapter works more like an extension. I had a Factory rim blow with adapter. I put on a Grant Tuff with out adapter. I did not have room under the wheel for my knees. I put the adapter back on column and all was good. I will see if I have before and after pics to show. I hope I explaned it well enought.

So long store short if you have any adapter it should work, it's just an extension for the shollow dish wheels.
