Anybody ever use one of these, how hard would it be to put in an a body? I found a complete one for $40. I did a v8 swap but still have the 7.25 rear and want to convert to something bigger

Are you building a mud truck A body? After you cut it down, put new ends on it and new axles and brakes you"ll be well into the 8 1/4 price range and close to the 8 3/4 price range. Look at the top of this sub-forum and check out the 8.8 ford rear swap sticky, this might be a more viable alternative.

I know from first hand experience that the factory limited slip unite are not worth spit.

I knew it was big but it was only 40 bucks but thanks I will pass on it. I read the 8.8 swap but I can't decide if I want to keep the small block or go with a big block. I wasn't sure if the 8.8 would hold ip if I go big block

That doesn't make the whole thing a POS. I think you can get a good unit in the aftermarket.
