Building a 408 for my Barracuda and after decking block , heads , custom Cometic head gaskets and Oregon cams regrind at .550 lift - 221/229 @.050 on a 112 it turns out the stock pushrods are the correct length.
My heads are IMM ported EQs with beehive springs . I don’t know the exact specs on the springs but think they are under 300# open . I will email Bryan for exact specs .
My question is will the factory pushrods be strong enough for an engine that will seldom see over 5k rpms ? Anyone have any experience running stock pushrods with increased spring pressure and upgraded cam ?
