Stripped tranny holes

Today I was installing the tranny cross member and I noticed that the holes where the rubber bracket bolt on are stripped. What do I do, can I Helicoil them. I didnt know about Helicoils and aluminum. Also What is the length of a drive shaft for my 68 barracuda with a 318/904 and a 7 1/4 rear.

yes , helicoil them, it'll be stronger than what was there before =)
