And does it matter which prong the wire goes on , don't remember which wire goes on which side

You are showing two designs of the same part. And "coil resistor" and "ballast resistor" and "ignition resistor" are three names for the same part.

Those are the parts as you identified. The top one is the coil resistor and the bottom is the ballast resistor. As to whether it matters which wire goes were I really don't know. I would have to look at my car to even remember which wire goes were. ](*,)

Thanks Dan , why 3 names for the same part I'll never understand . Thought there might be some small difference in the resistors that's why listed under different names . Anyhow the coil resistor will be easier to fit as can't find a screw long enough to fit the Ballast resistor , only long enough to work with metal tab on coil resistor . Actually cannot find a screw that size anywhere ! Hardware stores , body shops and garage had nothing that size ???
So I figure makes no difference which side I put the wires ?

Turn signal • indicator • blinker • turn blinker

Headlight • headlamp

Brake lamp • stop lamp

Windshield • windscreen

Pulley • sheave

Distributor • dizzy

Spark plug wires • spark plug cables • HT leads

Gas cap • fuel cap

Defroster • defogger

I'm sure there are others, too.

Nope, just lazy catalogue assembly by RockAuto (see also here )

makes no difference which side I put the wires ?

Correct.

Understand different names for parts in different pats of the country or world , but in one catalogue a ballast resistor or coil resistor should be listed , not both .
Or maybe that's the game , confuse customer and hope they go for higher priced product .
Thanks for the help
