I have a 5" 4 in 1 tach from AT racing world. Im not trying to hook up the water temp or any of that, just rpm's. Don't have/ can't find a wiring diagram for it, plus i've never done anything like this. First of all, does anyone know how to set one of these up? As far as i know, red is power (maybe splice into a dash instrument wire?), black is ground (not entirely sure where i'd ground that), then on most i've seen the white goes to the distributor or something of that nature? I have absolutely no experience with tachs or electrical work so this probably pretty annoying for you guys, sorry about that lol. Any input is greatly appreciated

I'll add that this is an illuminated tach so i'm sure some of those wires are for that, i'll try to get a pic when i get home. TIA

Just googled tach wiring colors. That's what I did when I hooked up my used tach. Green goes to coil negative. I am sure they are almost all standard.

Seems like there's only auto meter and summit. Hopefully it's mostly universal, i'll just have to check my wires when i get home and see how it compares

Asking them is probably the best and safest solution, but as already mentioned usually, Red=12v switched pos
Black=12vneg
White=lighting (park lights circuit)
Green=tach signal from the coil ground.

But with the 4 in 1 tach I would be very cautious about that.
