TF727 inputshaft/directdrum stuck

Hi, rebuilding my first 727 (1973 model) transmission and i cant pull the inputshaft and direct drum from the outputshaft.

First and second was slipping badly before i pulled it From my car reverse and third seemed fine. Am I missing something here? Can the clutches or something weld Themself shut?

Inputshaft has some play to the sides but wont move out at all

Yes they can “weld” themselves together with enough slippage and heat. And since they spline onto the front planetary ring gear, that is likely why you can’t get them apart.
