I just wanted to give a shout out to the guys at Gill Welding for the pilot bearing adapters for the pilot bearings to aid in installing the Ford T5 transmission behind my slant 6. They sent one of each, one for the large crank pocket and one for the small, so I have one of each. Very simple procedure to press everything together. Now I have one of each.

Very cool! I’m hoping that you get to show us how the T5 fitment goes in Vixen before too much longer.

T5s are small tiny transmissions only weigh 75 pounds. My '88 LX 5.0 5 spd conv still has its original T5 in it. When car was new I used to shift holding gas pedal held to floor at the drag strip. Today car has 53k miles trans still shifts perfect. T5s are a lot tougher then the internet says.....

I think I'm safe with a slant 6 in front of it. Nice car!

 Nice little Stang there! I can hear Vanilla Ice right thru the pic...lol.

There was a black ‘83 5.0 LX notchback nearby that sat forever in someone’s driveway before a small tree went across the fenders and hood. I lost track of it before it went up for sale, but that’s one that I still regret letting get away.
