Monday morning I went in for my first major surgery at 21 years old. 3 to 4 years ago I started to have pain in my lower back. turns out I fractured my vertebra on both side which pushed my spine 3mm forward and started to do its damage on my disc. So long story short they fused my l5 s1 together I spent 5 days in the hospital. The funny part was I was the youngest person on the spine floor all the doctors were in shock cause of that. They went in from the front so they had to move my organs over and go to work. Hurt like hell!! Anyone have the same procedure and now what I'm go in through?

Sorry to hear about your pain, I know something about that. I had L5-S1 fused about 6 years ago. I had broken the lamina off of L5 and driven the whole mess about 3/4" forward.I was lucky, they did mine from the back and I was up and walking in 18 hours!
