1st. question...What are the widest tires that can be "practicably" used with 14X5.5 Rally wheels on my newly required 65 Barracuda?
2nd. question...With the 14X5.5 wheels, what would the recommendations be for the size tires, front and back?
At the moment the car is "totally stock." All original with 13 inch wheels, slant six, Torque-Flite. Right now I'm absolutely getting rid of the 13 inch wheels. I have four 14X5.5 Rally rims waiting to go on. Any input would be appreciated.

I would think the 205 70 14 would be best for the front but not and early A expert

my 225 70 14 on the front of my 67 is just a hair larger than I should have on there and I believe the early A has smaller wheel wells

That is a nice solid looking car. Don't forget what larger tire diameter does to your effective gear ratio.

Currently running 205/70 up front and 215/70 out back on Jake's 65 Bcuda. As soon as he wears out the rears, he's gonna squeeze a 235/60 on the rear rallyes.
