I’ve searched around and have decided on Rust Bullet for an undercoating. I just have light surface rust spots and have read POR does not adhere well to bare metal. However, RB only offers their topcoat, Black Shell in a gloss black. Has anyone used a satin black top coat over Rust Bullet?

I contacted Rust Bullet, they said they do no have a specific alternate brand they recommend but to let the RB cure, sand with 80-100 grit (which sounds like a PITA) and make sure the other brand is a solvent base moisture cure urethane and obviously verify with that brand they are compatible.

Does anyone have recommendations or even better, recommendations that don’t involve sanding the entire underside of the car? Looking at Eastwood Extreme Chassis Black.

OThe body shop that did our car used tintable rhino liner type product. It undercoats, waterproofs and seals all seams. You do have to seal off all areas that have nuts on the other side or you will spend a lot of time tapping out the rhino liner.

Found an old post. The body guy used Raptor Liner, not Rhino Liner

I had my paint guy use the raptor liner in my bed and on the top rails of the bed and then later brought it back to have the bottom 6 in of the truck done. He was able to put Spinnaker White paint in it and paint it the color of the truck. So it's a possibility if you didn't want it black that paint could be put in the raptor liner and painted any color you wanted....
I think the thing here was though that he wanted something that would eradicate the rust?...
I like the xion labs stuff because it eradicates the rust and is a primer...
