What grease are you guys using to repack the torsion bars, I know the factory used long fiber grease. Is there a modern, cheaper, easier to find substitute?

I work for a lumber company, and was lucky enough to find a tub of the OLD stuff in one of the mechanics' shops so I'm set for a while. Last time I was talking to EBooger about it, he said that Chrysler was releasing a grease that would work well. I don't remember what he called it. You might check with your dealer. If they give a crap, they should be able to find out for you.

I use Permatex Anti-Seize Compound. It's temp rated to like 1200 or 1500 degrees. I can't remember which. Too lazy to walk out in the shop and see. But that stuff hangs out forever on parts. It works good. I figure if it's good enough to lube brake calipers up and still be there when you replace pads next time, it's good stuff.
