transmission inspection panel

I was told that transmissions have an insoection panel in them for checking stuff out, my buddy told me about chevys but said he wasn't sure about dodge. What do you guys know?

You must be talking about manual transmissions because I'm familiar with most automatics and they don't have any such thing. The closest thing you find to an inspection cover on a torqueflite is the torque converter inspection cover and to be honest I don't know why they call it that because you can't see anything except the ring gear teeth. It's really just an access panel to get to the torque converter bolts.
