Hey guys, jw what you guys did for your Trans. when building a 450hp motor. I was going to egt one local, but the guys backing out, so I need to know if i can jsut rebuild it with better clutches and steelies and be ok

How does this sound:
Low/Reverse Kevlar band
Front Kevlar band
TF2 shift kit
Trans rebuild kit with Raybesto clutches from TranStar
4.2 lever
possibly bolt in Sprag
Trans pan
and a Trans cooler

you will be ok with hi performance clutches and steels with 450 hp. the trans go 2 kit is what i got , its supposed to be a good one. there is a difference of opinions on using the kevlar bands for street use. some say the bands are hard on the steel clutch drums , and that they are more suited for race use with aluminum drums.

I was told by Convert aka Bill to use both Kevlar bands, but this is why i posted to see what others say.

Is this a good setup up, with or without the Kevlar bands

OR I can buy the Hugues Race rebuild kit for around 140 with the kevlar bands and alto red clutches and then get the other stuff i listed

please IF YOU HAVE A 904 PLEASE CHIME IN

what do you think about the COPE RACKING-Racing build kit for 160? has everyhting from Alto Red To Kevlar Bands
