stock cam /pistons ,has headers and rpm intake /750 3310 carb
did a base line run on the gtech 16.25 @83mph a little traction issue but not to bad thinking of cam swap any suggestions
I know it is not a abody but I didn't know where to put it

Beautiful truck......heavy truck :D. Do you have the 4.10 gear? If so.....

This comp XE is about as far as i'd go, since you have the bolt on's already.

There are some others listed for truck applications, but the earlier intake closing event will help preserve some compression.

Just one opinion, good luck.

yea it has the 4.10 gear thinking of a quick cam swap till I get the dart back together then I will pull the 440 and get the compression up

My feeling is since it's a 5k plus truck, that you'd want to keep a tight torque converter for truck duties. I think a cam like the one i posted will give a real boost in the mid range, say 2500 to 5000 rpm's and the 4.10 will get you in that range fairly quick even with the tall tires. As far as et gain, maybe in the 3 tenths range and possibly a little more with the tune. A vehicle like that is not gonna lay down some fancy numbers, but in the 20 to 70 mph range, you'd surprise alot of cars/trucks that can run a faster time at the track.

yea I understand it is not a race truck and a low 16 is not to bad but I hate having my toys slow when first got the truck it would badly get in the 18`s thanks for your input
